14-Day Money-Back Guarantee + Pass Guarantee
Try it. If it's not for you, email support@mitryxa.com within 14 days and get every dollar back.
It's for people who tried it and didn't like it, not people who used it up: it applies while you've completed fewer than 5 lessons and used fewer than 20 AI tutor credits.
Do the work and still fail the C-36? You pay nothing. Finish every exam-prep lesson, score 85%+ on three full-length practice exams, and sit the real exam within 6 months of buying. If you don't pass, send us your official CSLB result letter within 30 days of your result date and we refund every penny.
The free tier (2 modules) lets you evaluate the platform before you ever pay. Full terms: Terms of Service.
Why we can afford to guarantee this
We can't sit the exam for you, but we can get you ready for it. That part is yours. The rest is on us: every topic on the CSLB C-36 blueprint, kept current with California code. And if you do the work and still don't pass, you get every dollar back. That's why we can charge once and mean it.
You don't have to take our word for it. Two full modules and a 21-question practice test are free, no card. See the questions yourself before you spend anything.
We're here if you have questions. Email support@mitryxa.com and a real person answers within 24 hours, before or after you buy.
Why students pick lifetime
Pay once, never worry
No recurring charges. Cancel-anytime stress is gone because there's nothing to cancel.
Study at your pace
Some pass in 3 weeks, some need 3 months. Take whatever time you need — access never expires.
Future updates included
When CSLB updates the exam blueprint, the code changes, or a business rule moves (the 2028 workers' comp date, the 2026 contract amendments), your lessons update too, at no extra cost.
Questions people ask before paying
- What is Ride-Along?
- A practice mode on CA Plumbing Prep that teaches you while you answer. You take a question, say how sure you were, answer it, and get told why the answer you picked was wrong — not just what the right one is. Sessions are about ten questions and take roughly six minutes.
- How is it different from a practice test?
- A practice test measures you. Ride-Along teaches you: the feedback is specific to the answer you chose, the rule behind the question opens inline without leaving the page, and there is no timer or score. Your practice answers are kept separate from your exam results, so taking it does not inflate your readiness numbers.
- Can I try it without an account?
- Yes. Five questions, free, no card and no sign-up, at caplumbingprep.com/ride-along. It picks up where you left off if you close the tab.
- Why does it ask how confident I am?
- Because answering correctly while guessing is not the same as knowing it, and almost every study app records it as learned. Tapping "guessing" tells us to bring that question back in a couple of days. Tapping "I know this" twice in a row on the same question tells us to stop spending your time on it.
- How long does a session take?
- About six minutes, which is ten questions. There is no timer and nothing is being marked. If you stop halfway through, it resumes exactly where you were — including mid-question — on any device you sign in on.
- Are the questions written by AI?
- No question is made up on the spot. Every question comes from the course question bank, which is checked against the California code and CSLB sources, and a question that cannot be backed by its source is taken out. A made-up question would teach a wrong rule right before a licensing exam, so AI never writes one here. AI appears in exactly one place: an optional "go deeper" button that hands your question to the tutor if you want to ask it something.
- Does it work on a phone?
- It is built for one, held in one hand, with an interrupted six minutes. That is the whole design brief.
- Is Ride-Along included in the course?
- Yes, in lifetime access, at no extra cost, along with the lessons, the 1,000+ practice questions, the full-length mock exams and the AI tutor.
- What does CA Plumbing Prep cost?
- Lifetime access is a single payment of $148.75 (list price $175.00, reduced under our California Workforce Initiative pricing). There is no subscription. Two full modules and a 21-question practice test are free, with no card, so you can look before you buy.
- Is there a free version?
- Yes. A 21-question C-36 diagnostic at https://www.caplumbingprep.com/free-exam needs no account and no card, and two full modules are free once you sign up.
- What happens if I fail the exam?
- You are refunded in full under the Pass Guarantee, provided you finished every exam-prep lesson, scored 85%+ on 3 full-length practice exams, sat the exam within 6 months of buying, and send the CSLB result letter within 30 days.
- Can I get a refund if I just change my mind?
- 14-day money-back guarantee: if it's not for you, email us within 14 days and get every dollar back. It's for people who tried it and didn't like it, not people who used it up, so it applies while you've completed fewer than 5 lessons and used fewer than 20 AI tutor credits.
- Which exams does it cover?
- Both CSLB exams a C-36 applicant sits: the Law & Business exam that every contractor licence requires, and the C-36 Plumbing trade exam.
- Is the course in Spanish?
- Yes. Lessons, summaries, audio and practice questions are published in Spanish as well as English, not machine-translated on the fly.
- Does it expire?
- No. Lifetime access means no renewal and no expiry, and future updates to the material are included.
- Does buying this get me the licence?
- No. CSLB issues the licence and sets the experience requirements. This prepares you for the two exams and, after you pass, for running the business.
