1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CA Plumbing Prep (the "Service"), operated by MITRYXA.COM, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CA Plumbing Prep is an online study platform designed to help individuals prepare for the California C-36 Plumbing Contractor License Examination administered by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB). The Service includes educational lessons, audio content, practice questions, AI-powered tutoring, and study tools.

Important Disclaimer: CA Plumbing Prep is an independent educational resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the CSLB or the State of California. We do not guarantee that using our Service will result in passing the exam.

2A. Educational Use Only — Not Legal, Code, or Professional Advice

All content on the Service — including lessons, audio, summaries, practice questions, explanations, and AI Tutor responses — is provided for educational and exam-preparation purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, code-compliance advice, engineering advice, tax advice, business advice, or any other form of professional advice. It is not a substitute for consulting the current California Plumbing Code, California Business and Professions Code, Cal/OSHA orders, CSLB publications, or a licensed attorney or qualified professional.

You agree that you will not rely on Service content as the basis for any licensing, code-compliance, business, or contractual decision without independently verifying it against the current official source.

2B. Content Accuracy and Currency

California codes, statutes, the CSLB exam blueprint, and related rules change periodically. Bond amounts, contract caps, code section numbers, and fixture standards have all been amended in recent years and may be amended again. We review our content against published sources on a regular cadence (see the "Last reviewed" notice in the app), but we cannot guarantee that every statement on the Service reflects the most current published version of every code or statute at every point in time.

You are solely responsible for verifying any information that you intend to rely upon against the current official source, including but not limited to:

• The current California Plumbing Code (CPC), Title 24, Part 5
• The current California Business and Professions Code, Division 3, Chapter 9 (Contractors)
• The current Cal/OSHA Construction Safety Orders, Title 8
• The most recent CSLB Examination Study Guide for the C-36 license
• Any local amendments adopted by your authority having jurisdiction (AHJ)

If you discover content on the Service that appears outdated or incorrect, please email support@mitryxa.com so we can review it.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account using either Google authentication or email and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. Free and Paid Plans

The Service offers a free tier with limited access (2 study modules — 1 Trade and 1 Law & Business) and a paid one-time Lifetime Access plan that unlocks all content.

Lifetime Access: $149 (after the California Workforce Initiative discount; $175 list price). One-time payment processed through Stripe. There are no recurring charges. The plan grants permanent access to all lessons, practice questions, audio content, full-length practice exams, and 100 AI tutor messages. Additional AI credits may be purchased in $5/$10/$25 packs from the AI Tutor page.

Legacy subscribers: Users who purchased a Pro monthly or annual subscription before May 2026 retain access for as long as their subscription remains active and may manage it via the Stripe billing portal. New subscription sign-ups are no longer offered.

Refunds — 14-Day Trial Window. Because the free tier already lets you evaluate the platform with no payment, the post-purchase refund window is intentionally short. You may request a full refund of your Lifetime Access purchase by emailing support@mitryxa.com within 14 days of the date of purchase, provided that, at the time of the request, you have:

• completed fewer than 5 lessons, AND
• used fewer than 20 AI tutor credits.

These engagement thresholds are verified against your account's recorded activity. Refunds outside the 14-day window, or where engagement exceeds either threshold, are not available except under the Pass Guarantee below.

Pass Guarantee. If after using the platform you sit for and do not pass the official California C-36 exam, you may request a full refund of your Lifetime Access purchase at any time, provided all three of the following conditions are met at the time of the request:

• You completed every published lesson on the platform.
• You scored 85% or higher on three or more full-length practice exams taken within the platform.
• You email support@mitryxa.com a clear photo or scan of your official CSLB exam result letter showing a failing result for the C-36 examination, with your name and the exam date visible.

We verify lesson completion and practice-exam scores directly against your account's recorded activity. Submitting a falsified, modified, or fabricated CSLB letter is fraud and we will not refund such claims; we reserve the right to forward any suspected fraud to the appropriate authorities.

Chargebacks. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute through your card issuer or bank rather than requesting a refund through the channels above, we may suspend or terminate your account access pending resolution. Initiating a chargeback after receiving a refund is grounds for permanent account termination.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: share your account with others or allow unauthorized access; copy, redistribute, or resell any content from the platform; use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service; attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack any part of the Service; use the AI Tutor to generate content unrelated to plumbing exam preparation; post or transmit any harmful, offensive, or illegal content.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the platform — including lessons, audio, questions, explanations, and design elements — is owned by MITRYXA.COM or its licensors and is protected by copyright law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the content for personal, non-commercial study purposes only.

7. AI Tutor

The AI Tutor feature uses artificial intelligence to provide study assistance. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies. The AI Tutor is a study aid and should not be relied upon as the sole source of exam preparation information. Always cross-reference important information with official CSLB resources and California codes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT USING THE SERVICE WILL RESULT IN PASSING THE C-36 EXAM. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, MITRYXA.COM SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY THAT THE CONTENT REFLECTS THE MOST CURRENT VERSION OF ANY CODE, STATUTE, REGULATION, OR EXAM BLUEPRINT. CALIFORNIA CODES AND STATUTES ARE AMENDED PERIODICALLY, AND THE SERVICE MAY CONTAIN INFORMATION THAT IS OUTDATED, INCOMPLETE, OR INCORRECT FOR YOUR SPECIFIC SITUATION. RELIANCE ON SERVICE CONTENT WITHOUT INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MITRYXA.COM AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND CONTENT CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST INCOME, LOST OPPORTUNITY, LOST BUSINESS, OR LOST WAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

9A. Specific disclaimer for exam outcomes. WITHOUT LIMITING ANYTHING IN THIS SECTION, YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT MITRYXA.COM SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY EXAMINATION OUTCOME OR ITS CONSEQUENCES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: (a) failure to pass the C-36 exam or any portion of it; (b) loss of an exam fee, retake fee, application fee, or related cost; (c) denial, delay, suspension, or revocation of a contractor's license; (d) lost income, lost contracts, or lost business opportunities resulting from delayed licensure; (e) any consequence of giving an answer on the real C-36 exam that was taught on the Service but is incorrect or outdated under current California law or code; or (f) any other consequence arising from your performance on, preparation for, or reliance on Service content in connection with any examination or licensing decision. Exam outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including individual study effort, prior knowledge and experience, exam-day performance, and the specific content of the exam administered to you on any given date.

9B. No professional engagement. Nothing in your use of the Service creates an attorney-client relationship, engineer-client relationship, accountant-client relationship, contractor-client relationship, or any other professional or fiduciary relationship between you and MITRYXA.COM or its contributors.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in California.
